Miss Barragree earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Benedictine College in May 2024. During her time at Benedictine, she was actively involved in and conducted the concert band, marching band, and choir. As both a vocalist and flute player, she has immersed herself in the band and choir communities.


Outside of music, she enjoys reading, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends doing puzzles or playing board games. She is thrilled to join the St. Pius X family and start her teaching career!

Pax Christi! Sister Gwen Do has been a member of the Congregation of Mary, Queen since 1996. Her educational background includes a B.S. Ed. with an emphasis in Secondary Education - History and an M.A. in Theology with an emphasis in Moral Theology.


With 14 years of teaching experience in various Catholic high schools in Dallas, Fort Worth, and St. Louis, she is enthusiastic about joining the St. Pius X community and embarking on a faith journey with its students, faculty, and staff.

Originally from Colombia, Señor Duque began his academic journey studying law at Santiago de Cali University in Cali, Colombia. He later pursued a degree in education, specializing in Spanish, at Emporia State University.


In his free time, Guiovanny enjoys fishing, reading, and spending time with his beloved wife Gloria and their two children, Juan Pablo and Manuela Alejandra.


He is thrilled to be at St. Pius X and looks forward to sharing the richness of Spanish culture with his students!

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language/English Spoken as an Other Language from the same institution, Karen is certified to teach elementary grades 1st-6th, ELD (formerly ESL/ESOL/ELL) grades K-12, and Special Education grades K-12.



Approximately 2 1/2 years ago, Karen and her husband converted to the Catholic faith after enrolling their children at St. James School. She stated that “this unexpected but fulfilling faith journey has brought me immense joy.” She currently writes for CatholicMom.com and Living Faith Kids, and has also created a podcast titled "Stand, Kneel, Now What?" to assist other converts in navigating their faith journey.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, writing, watching football and lacrosse, and learning new languages.

With a solid educational foundation and over two decades of teaching experience, Mary (Teson) Fisher brings a passion for mathematics and a commitment to student success to her role in academia. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northwest Missouri State University, where she developed a keen understanding of financial principles. Eager to combine her love for numbers with a desire to educate, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Mathematics from the UMKC.


Driven by a dedication to enhance learning through technology, she furthered her education with a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Lindenwood University. Throughout her 23-year teaching career, she’s had the privilege of shaping young minds at St. Charles Borromeo and St. Teresa’s Academy.


On a personal note, Mary’s been happily married to her husband Craig for 31 years, and together they’ve raised two incredible children, Claire and Caleb. As a graduate of St. Pius X High School, where her affinity for math first blossomed, she is thrilled to return to her alma mater as a member of the math department. Joining a legacy that includes not only her own education but also that of her siblings, nieces, and nephews, she is looking forward to inspiring the next generation of mathematicians at St. Pius X High School.

Amy (Wilson) Ganaden, a proud WARRIOR, is thrilled to be returning home at this stage of her career. Upon graduating, Amy completed her undergraduate studies at William Jewell College and pursued graduate work at UMKC. Recently, Amy served as the 4th-8th grade Division Director at Oakhill Day School. Before that, she spent 16 years teaching middle and upper school math at The Pembroke Hill School. Amy’s extensive experience includes roles as a math teacher, guidance counselor, director of the advisory program, math competition coach, pep club sponsor, and administrator. She is eager to bring her expertise to her students and colleagues. While passionate about math, Amy is also dedicated to social-emotional learning. She previously served as President of the Northland Coalition and remains an active member. She is excited to integrate her skills within a Catholic education framework.


Amy is the proud mother of three grown children: Lydia (28), Thomas (28), and Joseph (26). She eagerly awaits the arrival of her first grandchild, a grandson, this month. Family time is her greatest joy, and she cherishes moments with her multitude of friends, many of whom she met at St. Pius. She enjoys spending time around water, whether boating at the lake or floating in the pool, reading, and cuddling with her Goldendoodle, Hazel Grace.

An alumnus of St. Pius X, Pete pursued a degree in Communications at Creighton University.

After college, a tenure in Congress revealed a missing element in life, leading to a profound calling towards education and working with young people.


As a devout Catholic, the desire to live out and share the faith inspired a transition to Catholic education, aiming to spread the hope and joy inherent in the faith.

His last year was spent teaching 5th grade at St. Charles, and there is great anticipation for the opportunity to teach at St. Pius X.

Leena Nabulsi is a graduate of Blue Springs South High School, class of 2014, hailing from Lee’s Summit. She holds undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology from Rockhurst University and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma. With experience teaching college-level Chemistry at OU, she is enthusiastic about preparing high school students for the college classroom.



In her leisure time, Leena enjoys drinking tea, playing board games, swimming, and taking walks outdoors.
