These hand-painted, oil on canvas editions were conceived after Ioannidou's most recent trip to Cyprus, the island where she was born. They are reminiscent of the way the sky was peaking through the grapevines along the veranda of her late grandmother's house, a timeless moment which created an imaginary place where new histories can be realized.

Ketta Ioannidou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus and currently lives and works in New York. She received an MFA from School of Visual Arts in New York and a BA (Hons) from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. She represented Cyprus in the 9th International Cairo Biennale, the 24th Alexandria Biennale for Mediterranean Countries in Egypt and the Rome Biennale for Young Artists. Her art has been exhibited at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, the NARS Foundation, Chashama, PS122 Gallery, the Carriage House at the Islip Art Museum in New York, Vox Populi in Philadelphia, the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art in Indiana and Diatopos Center of Contemporary Art in Nicosia, Cyprus. She was awarded residencies from Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, I-Park and the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Ioannidou's work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Art in America, Flash Art and The Brooklyn Rail.
