Hi, everyone!
Big news -- Big Adventure Comics will be moving! We're going to the
Railyard, to the
Jean Cocteau Cinema building at the corner of Montezuma and Market -- the address is
418 C Montezuma, but we open on to Market Street, across from Sanbusco. We'll be around the corner from George R.R. Martin's theater in a space that's bigger and more open than our current shop. We're finalizing some of the details this week so we'll keep you updated, but the move will happen towards the middle of September.
We're placing our order for books released in October this week. Take a look at our
preorder picks newsletter and be sure to let us know today if there's anything you want to add to your pull list or special order.
SUICIDE SQUAD REBIRTH #1 is back in stock. And remember, we're continuing our special deal with
VIOLET CROWN -- for the duration of Suicide Squad's run there, bring in your Big Adventure Comics receipt for a free popcorn. Then bring your movie ticket back to the shop for a special free comic -- spread the word, get some friends to stop by who have never been to the shop!
-=-=-=-=-
Batgirl is off to Singapore in BATGIRL #2, diving into the dangerous world of MMA fighting. But her first opponent may be more than just an adversary in the ring -- could she be connected to Babs' new travel-companion-slash-maybe-crush?
The Return of Wally West continues in TITANS #2 -- when Abra Kadabra conjures up doppelgängers of the Titans to wreak havoc on Keystone City, the team must face their greatest enemy yet.
ROM is under attack by an entire town full of Dire Wraiths -- but these Wraiths are far more powerful than any he's ever faced before. ROM #2 leads directly into next month's REVOLUTION while reinventing the classic hero. Pick up #1 to get started.
We're also restocked BLACK MONDAY MURDERS #1, out on the front table -- this new series from JONATHAN HICKMAN and TOMM COKER takes a deep, dark look at an alternate (?) world where finance and the occult are fatally intertwined.
We know a lot of you have been waiting for PRETTY DEADLY TP VOL 2 THE BEAR. Following some of the key characters -- dramatically changed -- from the first series, Sarah Fields is dying and her children strike a bargain with the Immortals: give them one month more, until the moon is full again, to find her youngest son so that he may see her one last time.
Concluding the new direction of the character, in BATGIRL TP VOL 3 MINDFIELDS, Batgirl's about to lose the greatest weapon in her arsenal -- because her mind is failing her. Are her ragtag group of allies ready to pick up the slack?
We've been getting various volumes of both these series, but now we're caught up to the complete runs. OCTOPUS PIE TP VOL 3 explores new realms of adulthood -- and Brooklyn.
PHONOGRAM TP VOL 2 SINGLES CLUB delves into a world where music is magic, and vice versa.
Thanks for shopping local,
Kevin, Bram, Eduardo, Skylar, and Johnny
