Hi, Everyone!
The new newsletter's ready -- pick up your copy at the shop, or download it
here. We've gone through the big Previews catalog and picked interesting-looking books and comics coming out in May and beyond. We may not be stocking everything in there, but we're able to special order or add to your pull list -- just complete and return the form to support the titles you want.
A lot of great
new #1s this week -- including OBLIVION SONG #1 from ROBERT KIRKMAN, writer of THE WALKING DEAD. We got to check this out, and it's a terrific story, a high-concept sci-fi that's really about the characters, with plenty of twists and turns.
-=-=-=-=-
Jean Grey and her new team must infiltrate a top-secret compound in order to save a mutant they've never met in X-MEN RED #2 -- if you missed out on the return of this legendary character, we've #1s got to get you started.
Mephisto has taken up some major real estate in Las Vegas DOCTOR STRANGE DAMNATION #2 (of 4) and now the rest of Earth is on his "to get" list. There's still a few #1s to get you going.
The secret origin of the hit hero continues in RISE OF BLACK PANTHER #3 (of 6) as, against the wishes of his tribal council, the Black Panther unveils his country to the globe and quickly finds his invitation brings unexpected guests. It's over under "B" on the rack with the previous issues.
In FIREBUG TP, a volcano goddess named Keegan is loose in the world, and the prophecies are unclear whether her coming will bring humanity's destruction or salvation -- this collection includes the full saga that began in ISLAND magazine plus all-new material.
Creator Joss Whedon's official sequel to the television series continues in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER OMNIBUS SEASON 8 TP VOL 2 with the Chosen One's eighth season of fighting demons and dark forces to save the world and all of mankind. Check out VOL 01 if you always wanted to see what happened next.
Collecting five one-shots, LOBSTER JOHNSON TP VOL 6 A CHAIN FORGED IN LIFE is full of pulp action, an ideal introduction to the character and how he fits into the Hellboy universe.
