Participating SBA-backed lenders are actively making small business loans in Northeast Ohio. Improve your chances of getting financing for your business at this match-making style event. Introduce your business plan, get critical feedback and a feel for what lenders are looking for in a positive, friendly, neutral environment. Startup businesses must have completed a business plan to attend the event.


All participants should prepare a summary Loan Request Document with their request, proposed sources and uses of funds, historical and projected financial summary, description of business, owner qualifications, and contact information.

CIC Committee Opportunities


The Office of Economic Development has established a Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) organized for the purposes of advancing, encouraging and promoting the industrial, commercial and civic development of the city. There are two committees that have been formed, the Loan Review Committee and the Innovation Committee. The Loan Review Committee will review the city's loan applications from the city's Revolving Loan Fund. The Innovation Committee will foster new ideas around supporting companies in the areas of commercialization, innovation, technology, research and development.

Lighting Incentives form Commercial and Industrial Customers

Are you responsible for lighting equipment across your business or facility? By upgrading to energy-efficient LEDs, you'll save money on energy and maintenance costs. FirstEnergy's Ohio Commercial Lighting Program provides incentives to encourage participants to install high-efficiency lighting equipment and controls for retrofit/renovation or existing and new construction projects. JumpStart's Signature Small Business Impact Program

Are you interested in a pitch competition with a chance to take home up to $10k? This intensive 12-week group-based educational program provides promising entrepreneurs with focused business advising, education on various business topics, and impactful tools and resources to help business owners pursue growth. The program places a special emphasis on financial projections and capital pitches, culminating in a pitch competition where participants will present to a panel of judges for a change to take home up to $10,000.


Scalerator NEO

The selection process has begun, and applications are being accepted for the 2024 Scalerator NEO cohort. This is a proven growth program that's helped more than 72 companies skyrocket their growth and revenue. Community Improvement Corporation

The Beachwood Community Improvement Corporation held its first board meeting this past month. The CIC was formed with the intent of providing an empowered body that can fulfil the objectives of the City’s Economic Development Strategy and the City’s Master Plan. One of the items approved was the formation of two committee's a Loan Review Committee and and Innovation Committee.
