One of our favorite yarns is New York from Trendsetter. This is a true fiber fan yarn. It's soft with just enough 'tooth' to make it perfect for so many projects.
It works up as a DK weight and yields approximately 180 yards per 50 gram skein.
It's a great yarn for all manner of projects, and we love it for color work, especially as it's only $8 a skein! Yes, that's 8, making this one of the best 'hidden bargains' in the shop.

Want an easier way to choose a project? Our website is full of fun and inspiring kits we've put together for you from companies such as Manos del Uruguay, Berroco, and Trendsetter. The pattern comes with the kit unless otherwise stated.
(Note: the Outlander patterns are not in the kits. Those patterns are available only in the book, available on our web site as well)

As the shop enters its 44th year, it's hard to believe our 40th Anniversary color, Cuarenta, was created 4 years ago! Dyed in Fino by the artisans of Manos del Uruguay, the color reflects the shop colors of Maroon and Blue.
The Cuarenta Shawl was designed for our 40th anniversary and is still a very popular piece! It's fun to knit up as the pattern changes with every color change so it never gets dull. We're on our last run of the custom color Cuarenta so if you've been on the fence, this is the time to get it!
We offer it in alternative colors, or pick your own combination using a full skein of Fino with one Fino Mini-Skin pack!
We also recently found a wonderful unbalanced triangle shawl design that is perfect for blending Cuarenta with Corsage (color 401) to create an interesting color and texture story. We think you'll enjoy Pansy, designed by Jinny Park.

Here we are in February, amazing as that may be. Here in town we're enjoying the Cambria Film Festival (virtually!) and seeing the Elephant Seals. We're enjoying seeing the days start to get longer and exploring the new yarns coming in.
We appreciate your support as that is what keeps our little shop here. Our goal is to be the best yarn shop you can imagine with a curated selection
focused on quality and value as well as the kind of service we used to experience before the big box stores took over so much of our small businesses.
