Berroco Gaia - Made from Recycled Fibers
|
We're so happy to see Berroco continue to provide so many options for recycled fiber yarns. First came Remix then Renew. Their latest is Gaia, made from recycled cotton and polyester, keeping these materials out of landfills.
Gaia gives you a beautiful tweed look in a soft, wool-free DK weight yarn.
| |
Berroco Splash - Organic Cotton
|
Organic cotton and viscose (fiber derived from plants) combine in this new yarn for Spring/Summer.
Splash is dyed to give you fun, multicolor stripes set against a neutral background throughout your piece. If you've seen Dash, their bulky, wool based yarn, the effect is similar but Splash is designed for the lighter pieces we love in warmer weather.

Berroco Lumi - Cotton with sparkle
|
Want some fun in your cotton projects? Pick up some Lumi, a cotton blend yarn with a touch of sparkle to brighten up whatever you're working on!

Free Knit Pattern and a Recycled Fiber Yarn!
|
Berroco Renew is an eco friendly yarn made from recycled wool, cashmere, and nylon. It also contains sustainably produced viscose. (Viscose, as you probably know, is fiber made from plants)
It's so soft and luxurious, you'll forget how environmentally friendly and value priced it is.
Ludlow, the beautiful cabled wrap shown here, is knit with 5 balls of Renew. And even better, the pattern is free! Never knit cables before? It's easier than you think! Contact us if you'd like to schedule a lesson on-line or in person.

This simple crochet cowl pattern can be made with almost any gauge yarn. We love it in DK, but change your hook size and the chain length and adapt it for any gauge yarn!

Still? Yes Still.
We assume this will take a bit, but we are talking with some wonderful folks that are looking to take this exciting step! Could that be you?
The time has come for the next chapter in our lives. We’re looking for the next owner of the Ball & Skein. Yes, the shop is for sale.
Don't expect huge changes right away. And yes, new yarn is still coming in. We're still here and committed to providing the same quality of service as always.

In 2009 we took a big chance and moved from our beloved neighborhood just outside Boston to run a yarn shop in a small town on the coast of California. It’s been an amazing experience, full of memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
We’re grateful for each and every one of you that have supported the shop for all these years and we hope the legacy of the Ball & Skein continues for many years to come. It’s been a great pleasure to be a part of one of the oldest, and we feel, most loved shops in the country.
If you, or someone you know, is interested in being a larger part of this history, please contact us at info@cambriayarn.com
Thank you one and all.
