Ogier Artesis Côtes du Rhône 2017
Rhone Valley, France
| |
The 2017 Ogier Artesis Cotes du Rhone Rouge is an intense ruby color. The nose is very expressive and opens itself on licorice, Violette and crushed red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) followed by spicy notes of pepper and juniper. Discreet woody notes brings a beautiful complexity. The palate is dominated by the suavity of the Grenache that expresses on ripe fruit, figs and plums. The Syrah gives some vivacity and greediness to this great Côtes du Rhône showing silky tannins. Blend: 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre
This Red Blend accompanies perfectly with lamb chop.
90 Points, James Suckling - "Neat, crunchy texture with red-fruit flavor. Really approachable and fleshy. Drink now."

Fuso TÈH Vino Rosso 2021
Piedmont, Italy
| The inaugural release of ‘Tèh’ comes from the Russo brothers at Crotin, located in Maretto municipality in the far west of the Monferrato Astigiano wine area. White marine limestone and sandy soils here accent Tèh’s punchy raspberry fruit profile with an aspirin-chalk stamp. A palpable tension on the mid-palate – between Barbera’s vertical acidity and Freisa and Grignolino’s grippy tannins - remind of the Italian saying semplice ma non banalé: ‘simple but not boring’. Such is the way of’ Tèh,’ a humble Rosso Piemonte wine with both soil and grape variety clearly etched. | | |

|
OTX Bizkaiko Txakoli 2021
Txakolina, Spain
| Straw yellow-greenish yellow, clean, long on the nose, aromas of ripe fruit (melon), citrus (lemon). Tasty, fresh, balanced, fruity, with citrus and bitter notes. | | |

Addendum Skellenger Lane
Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Rutherford, Napa Valley
| |
Aromas of red currant, cassis, cigar box, black cherry, Rutherford dust, sandalwood, red plum, and baking spices. Flavors of black currant, plum, black cherry, baker's chocolate, graphite, baking spices, tobacco, with a touch of mint.
93 Points, Wilfred Wong - "The 2016 Addendum Cabernet Sauvignon is powerful and rewarding on the palate and the finish. This wine comes right at you with aromas and flavors of black fruit, oak, and black licorice. Enjoy its power with a flavorful beef stew."
91 Points, Jeb Dunnuck - "Cassis, toasted spice, dried earth, and licorice notes all merge from the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Skellenger Lane (100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in new oak) and it's a medium-bodied, balanced, elegant wine. With fine tannins, good balanced, and the fresh, focused, straight-up classic style of the vintage, it's going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for two decades as well. Rating: 91+"
90 Points, Wine Enthusiast - "Leathery thick and dusty tannins surround a robust core of black fruit and earthy cedar in this vineyard-designated wine, an herbal Old World offering of quiet complexity and lasting ripeness."

Monet is a fresh cheese made by Woodside Cheese Wrights in the Adelaide Hills. Its name is inspired by French impressionist painter, Claude Monet.
It all begins with the exceptional local goat’s milk. With the most delicate of touches, Kris Lloyd transforms this milk into a fresh chèvre and tops it with a selection of edible herbs and flowers. The cheese itself has a fresh lactic aroma and a pristine white texture. On the palate, it is quite citrusy and herby and has a subtle spicy finish.
Enjoy with something cold and citrusy, along the lines of a Sauvignon Blanc or a Yuzu Umeshu for something really spectacular!

Jasper Hill Little Hosmer
Vermont
| |
Little Hosmer is a Jasper Hill Creamery original, a mini version of a new world-style brie. This cheese is named for a small pond in nearby Craftsbury, Vermont, a favorite destination for rowing, swimming, fishing and cross-country skiing after a long day of cheesemaking.
Little Hosmer is an approachable and nuanced soft ripened cheese. Beneath its thin, bloomy-rind lies a gooey, milky core showing a complex array of flavors at peak ripeness: cauliflower, crème fraiche, and toasted nuts. A bright, clean finish with a hint of white mushroom aroma follows the rich flavors of the paste.
Little Hosmer is perfect size for a picnic, or complement to a cheese board. At room temperature, this cheese is pliable and decadent without being runny. Seek out a fruited wheat beer, cured duck breast, and freshly baked focaccia for an elegant little spread.
