Daughter, Karen Schaffman, of San Diego; son, Philip Schaffman (Melissa), of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Laurel, Michael, Alana and Scott; a brother-in-law, Ed Kaplan; and their entire family on the passing of:

He was 94 years old and was predeceased by his wife, Myrna Schaffman, and a son, Paul Schaffman.


The couple were among the founders of the former Beth Hillel Synagogue in Bloomfield, and Marvin was an active member of the Abe Morrison Shabbat Dinner crew.


Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, at 10:00 a.m., at Beth Hillel Memorial Park Cemetery, 15 Wolcott Road in East Granby.


Following the funeral, the family invites everyone to shiva visitation, at Spark Bloomfield, 2 Francis Way, Bloomfield.
