NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Join neighbors on Tuesday, August 6 for this year's National Night Out, featuring fun events through Redwood City. Library staff will be present at Mezes Park, Palm Park and Stafford Park; come and say hi to us!


Here are all the National Night out neighborhood events: 

  • Canyon Neighborhood/Mt.Carmel Neighborhood - Stafford Park
  • Woodside Plaza Neighborhood - Maddux Park (5:30-8 p.m.)
  • Stambaugh Neighborhood- Jardin de Ninos Park
  • Downtown/Centennial - Mezes Park
  • Redwood Village - Flynn Ave/Spring St
  • Redwood Shores - Osprey Dr/Seastorm Dr
  • Palm Park Neighborhood - Palm Park

AUGUST IN THE TEEN CENTER

Teens! Teen Center staff have a fun month planned for August. Join us every Wednesday in August for our adventure night! We’ll have different sets of Legos from famous places around the world to build together. You’ll also have a chance to use our new Oculus Meta 3, so that you can visually experience being somewhere around the world. Find these and more events on the Teens calendar:


  • Mondays: Teen Open Makers
  • Tuesdays: Video Gaming Night
  • Wednesdays: Adventure Night
  • Fridays August 2, 9, 16: Dance Class
  • SAT AUG 17: Teen Makers: Hands on Clay


Also, be sure to sign up Summer Learning Challenge. You have the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and other prizes through August. Visit any Redwood City Public Library location to sign up in-person or sign up online.

Kid Makers: Campsite Creations


On Saturday, August 3, bring the outdoors inside with our camping-themed craft event, where you'll create a 3D foam campsite scene, color your own iron-on camp patches and a rustic wood picture frame to display your camping memories!
