National CyberWatch Mastery Badge Program: Raising the BAR of Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Webcast
Learn how to become one of the first to earn a National CyberWatch Mastery Badge in the Information Security Fundamentals Series. This webcast focuses on the first of a series of credentials that apply Behaviorally Anchored Rating (BAR) Systems to accurately predict job and career readiness in the Cybersecurity profession. The results will document your capabilities for current and potential employers and you will receive detailed guidance on what capabilities you need to improve with recommendations for resources that can help you to raise your cybersecurity capability maturity.

Faculty Recruitment Bootcamp
NCyTE is hosting a virtual Faculty Recruitment Bootcamp open to students currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in cybersecurity, who are interested in teaching in a community college setting. The four-session bootcamp runs between April 8 - 23 and provides a total of 32 hours of training, including a mix of instruction, lab work, and exams. Participants will gain experience in creating lesson plans and syllabi, leading a community college classroom, and more. Stipend opportunity is available.

Grant Development and Mentoring Program

Help improve cybersecurity education at your community college by applying for an NSF ATE grant. FORCCE-ATE is providing mentoring for community college educators to prep them for submitting NSF ATE grant proposals. Sign up as a FORCCE-ATE mentee and let the coaching begin. Mentoring begins in May with a three-day workshop from June 13-15 at Prince George’s Community College. Stipends are offered. Apply before April 15.

Request for Information | Evaluating and Improving NIST Cybersecurity Resources: The NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management
NIST is seeking information to assist in evaluating and improving its cybersecurity resources - including the widely-used NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and a variety of existing and potential standards, guidelines, and other information. That includes guidance relating to improving cybersecurity in supply chains.

Bloom’s for Computing: Enhancing Bloom's Revised Taxonomy with Verbs for Computing Disciplines Project
This project, led by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Committee for Computing Education in Community Colleges (CCECC), invites the community to review the recently released IronDog draft of Bloom's for Computing: Enhancing Bloom's Revised Taxonomy with Verbs for Computing Disciplines and to complete the associated survey. This report proposes 77 possible new verbs to be used with the six cognitive levels in Bloom's Revised Taxonomy for crafting competencies and learning outcomes for computing disciplines, including cybersecurity.
The project team is seeking feedback on which verbs you would and wouldn't use, to inform the final draft of this report. Review the IronDog draft HERE.
