Anne Leveque's Book Launch Event

Saturday, August 17 11:30-1:00

NVAL member and talented abstract artist, Anne Leveque, has authored her first book and will introduce it to the public at NVAL. Syllables is a beautiful book of poetry and stories Anne wrote to accompany her paintings. She will give a short talk and perform selected readings from her book. Anne will be there to sign copies and chat with visitors afterward. Tea, coffee, and water will be served. Syllables will be available for purchase in our gift shop for a price of $27.00. Don't miss this special event!

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming 2024 NVAL Juried Painting Show, where distinguished painter Dale Laitinen will serve as the juror! This is a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their work and receive recognition from a prominent figure in the art community. Entries are open until September 7!

Dale Laitinen will also be hosting a workshop in the first week of the Juried Painting Show. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a master painter known for his exceptional watercolor landscapes. Sign-ups are both online and in person at the Carter House Gallery.

North Valley Art League is looking for more attendants to spend time at a beautiful art gallery by the bank of the Sacramento River.

Attending the gallery once a month is an enjoyable way to support NVAL and keep the gallery open to the public. By volunteering at NVAL, you are not only helping the gallery, but also all of the local artists who show and sell their

beautiful work here.

What gallery attendants say about the experience:

-“being a NVAL gallery attendant gives me the opportunity to meet other NVAL members/artists, to interact with the public, and it inspires me to be creative .”

-“I like a monthly 'mini vacation' from the distractions at home. I always bring a project to work on when visitors aren't visiting the gallery.”
