Thank you for supporting the North Valley Art League! By becoming members, you are helping support the arts in our community!

Many members will be receiving an email that it's time to pay their annual dues soon. If you receive that email you can renew online (click here) or at the gallery. If you don't receive an email it means your dues have not yet expired. When it’s time to pay your dues, you will receive the email the month that you need to renew. If want to know what month you need to renew, you can ask a gallery attendant to check the membership list in the desk drawer or call the membership chair, Nancy Fink, at 530-949-8783.  

Thank you all for your membership. Memberships are a vital source of income that support NVAL (a 100% volunteer non-profit) and our mission to support artists and the visual arts in our community and the California North State!

North Valley Art League is looking for more attendants to spend time at a beautiful art gallery by the bank of the Sacramento River.

Attending the gallery once a month is an enjoyable way to support NVAL and keep the gallery open to the public. By volunteering at NVAL, you are not only helping the gallery, but also all of the local artists who show and sell their

beautiful work here.

What gallery attendants say about the experience:

-“being a NVAL gallery attendant gives me the opportunity to meet other NVAL members/artists, to interact with the public, and it inspires me to be creative .”

-“I like a monthly 'mini vacation' from the distractions at home. I always bring a project to work on when visitors aren't visiting the gallery.”

-”I always bring my camera to photograph flowers and plants in the garden at the gallery. This is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places in Shasta County.”

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming 2024 NVAL Juried Painting Show, where distinguished painter Dale Laitinen will serve as the juror! This is a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their work and receive recognition from a prominent figure in the art community.

Dale Laitinen will also be hosting a workshop in the first week of the Juried Painting Show. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a master painter known for his exceptional watercolor landscapes. Sign-ups are both online and in person at the Carter House Gallery.
