Psychedelic Policy in Nevada - Webinar Tomorrow!

Thank you to Psychedelics Today for inviting us to join their livestream and free Vital Training webinar tomorrow, Thursday, 10 AM PST, to discuss our policy reform efforts here in Nevada!

“What can Nevada lawmakers learn from Oregon and Colorado’s pioneering efforts in psychedelic policy reform as they consider new bills for the 2025 session?

We’re excited to host Kate Cotter, executive director of the Nevada Coalition for Psychedelic Medicines, for a webinar on Nevada’s Senate Bill 242, which established a Psychedelic Medicines Working Group. Despite initial skepticism, the bill gained bipartisan support and passed with a landslide victory.

This webinar will cover implementing state and local initiatives, decriminalization vs. legalization, current psychedelic policy reform in the US, and Nevada’s future prospects and implications for other states.”

FDA Denies Lykos' Application for MDMA-AT

On August 9th, the FDA denied Lykos Therapeutics' New Drug Application (NDA) for MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD, citing insufficient data and requesting an additional Phase 3 study. The decision was anticipated following concerns about safety risks and study design raised by the FDA's advisory committee. Lykos, veterans' advocacy groups, and many others expressed disappointment, emphasizing the impact on veterans suffering from PTSD. Lykos plans to request a meeting with the FDA to discuss resubmission options.
