NSCP Annual General Meeting

The Nova Scotia Cattle Producer 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) date has been changed!

The AGM will take place on April 29th, 2023, at the Salmon River Fire Hall!

Salmon River Fire Hall

Burger It Forward Campaign

Our collaboration on the Burger It Forward Campaign was a huge success! We assisted in the efforts, raising an estimated $53,064.00 for 16 food banks across the country. As a part of that effort, the NSCP donated $5,000.00 worth of ground meat from ABP to Feed Nova Scotia. A special thank you to Eassons Trucking, who graciously offered to deliver the ground beef from ABP to Feed Nova Scotia at no charge. #BurgerItForward

The BCRC has been busy creating more resources for calving season, including "How to Intervene with a Difficult Calving". This video walks a producer through a tough calving from the moment she enters the chute until the calf is delivered.

2023 Producer & Grower Registration

The 2023 forms are now available. It is important that these forms are completed and returned each year to ensure that you remain in good standing with NSCP, receive industry updates, have access to industry events, and are eligible for cattle-specific programs.

Labour Market Survey 2.0

Completing the survey will help NSFA better understand the labour needs of farms in Nova Scotia and provide direction for the Farm and Workforce Development programming. When you complete the survey, you will be entered into a prize draw! Complete the survey here!

This project is part of a larger, province wide project with 13 other industry sectors. The project will lead to the creation of an industry report and feed into a data dashboard for employers and policy makers to refer to. The report from the first iteration of the survey can be found here and the dashboard can be found here.
