Greetings!
As the only education foundation in the state serving 17 counties, Nevada Public Education Foundation (NPEF) has been convening, connecting, sustaining, and measuring impact to make a tangible difference for youth and communities throughout Nevada. |
| The Foundation wants to take this opportunity to share our joint accomplishments and if you're not already involved, invite you to join our work or carry our message and mission to those who may benefit. Please take a moment to review our Impact Report, released earlier this year, which carefully documents and analyzes the Foundation's enduring work since 1991. As a catalyst for quality education statewide, our goal to support and promote excellence in public education is becoming a reality, thanks in large part to our ability to leverage resources and partnerships with individuals and organizations like you.
NPEF-Meeting Real Nevada Needs with Real Impact
- Between 2004 and 2010, NPEF assisted Ready for Life (RFL) partners to leverage almost $23.5 million in new funding to serve youth in Nevada communities. The RFL movement aims to improve Nevada's high school graduation rates, and prepare youth for college, work and life, by leveraging resources and relationships among key stakeholders.
- Serve as a rallying point for nearly 1,500 stakeholders that include government agencies, non-profits, business, youth-serving agencies, educators, workforce development, and policy makers. The level of involvement in community and state-level efforts of NPEF and its Board of Trustees is not typical of most foundations. This commitment is perceived as one of the Foundation's key strengths by stakeholders, who view it as evidence of a true partnership.
- Gathers and reports on local, state, and national data to help partners and policy makers achieve real solutions in real time to graduate all youth, ready for life.
- Secured nearly $2 million in grant funding between 2004 and 2010 and granted over $1 million to schools and education partnerships that directly impacted 105,000 students since 2005, work that is sustained through their productivity and subsequent contributions to society.
