IHS Solicits Feedback on “Priority Categories” for Scholarship and Loan Repayment Programs: DTLL on July 1 requests your assistance in identifying priority health professions for inclusion into categories eligible for the IHS Scholarship Program in academic year 2025-2026 and the IHS Loan Repayment Program in FY 2025. Current categories include physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and optometrists.
FY 2018-2019 Report to Congress on the Administration of the Indian Health Tribal Self-Governance Program. IHS request your comments and recommendations on the combined fiscal years 2018-2019. The Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act at Title 25 United States Code (U.S.C.) § 5394 requires that, prior to submitting the report to Congress, the IHS must seek your comments and views. HHS OASH Tribal Consultation will be held on August 5 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM PST on the Syphilis and Congenital Syphilis Outbreak impacting Indian country. OASH is seeking feedback and recommendations from Tribal leaders and Tribal health professionals about actions HHS can take to support Tribal efforts to reduce the number of syphilis and congenital syphilis cases among American Indian and Alaska Native populations. CDC and OMB Listening Session on Tribal Public Health Priorities: The CDC and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry are hosting a Tribal listening session in conjunction with its 28th Biannual CDC/ATSDR Tribal Advisory Committee meeting. The agencies, along with the Office of Management and Budget, invite Tribal leaders to share feedback broadly, including areas such as Tribal public health funding, overdose prevention, congenital syphilis, intergovernmental emergency responses, and more.

IHS HIT Modernization. On January 18, 2024, the Indian Health Service (IHS) issued a Dear Tribal Leader letter, announcing a series of four Tribal and Urban Consultation sessions set to take place throughout the HIT Modernization 2024 calendar. The first session, slated for February 8th, will provide an overview of the Enterprise Collaboration Group. During this session, the IHS requests feedback on system configuration and change management.
