NMC ISO Multi-Line Claims Examiner

Nonprofit local governmental association has an opportunity for an experienced claims examiner to join our team in handling property-casualty claims, with an emphasis in employment and law enforcement liability claims. Minimum of five years of related experience preferred. Successful candidate will have work experience with increasing responsibility and complexity. Examiner will effectively manage assigned claims in accordance with applicable laws, practices, and procedures. Excellent benefits package and working environment. NMC ISO Government Relations Specialist

Government Relations Specialist for New Mexico Counties, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. Minimum skills include Associate degree in business administration or related field. Three (3) years of work experience in state or federal advocacy and public policy. Substitutions and/or exceptions for the required education and experience may be considered and authorized by NMC management.

 

Provides key executive support for NMC’s legislative programs, grant programs, and collaborative partnerships. Performs a variety of duties related to state and federal advocacy; legislative platform development; grant program management; collaborative initiatives with federal, state, and local governments, private sector, and public interest groups. Excellent benefits package. Office located in Santa Fe. This is a hybrid work position with some flexibility. NMC: New Administrative Services Director Takes Over

Aelysea Webb is the new NMC Administrative Services Director as of Sept. 1, 2024. She replaces Susan Mayes, who is retiring on August 30, 2024 after 17+ years with NMC. Aelysea has been an invaluable member of the NMC team since 2013. Over the years, she has excelled in various roles, consistently demonstrating her ability to take on new challenges to meet the needs of the organization. Aelysea will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions including conference & events, grants, government relations, affiliates, communications, and NMC operations. She will ensure that NMC continues to deliver outstanding support to our county members. Congratulations!!!

Medicaid Justice Re-entry Program

The NM Health Care Authority announces recent federal approval for the Justice Re-entry Program to provide Medicaid covered services to adult and juvenile who are in correctional facilities, and whose release is within 30-90 days.Join health care providers on Zoom Sept. 12, 11am-12:30pm, to learn more about the local jails and prisons, this work, and the steps ahead to implement services. Also, NM HCA wants input regarding current services and potential barriers to overcome.

FY 2025 Landscape Scale Restoration Funding Opportunities Are Open Closes Nov. 15, 2024

This is a competitive program that promotes collaborative, science-based restoration of priority forest landscapes and furthers priorities identified in State Forest Action plans. Objectives include reduced wildfire risk, improved fish and wildlife habitats, maintained or improved water quality, and mitigated invasive plants, insects, and disease.Grant requires 1:1 match.
