Coming Events and Information

A Word from Charles

Greetings my brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ, 2024 is hurriedly passing by. I am excited about the things that I see happening in the churches of the NKBA.   God is moving in the churches of the NKBA. I have heard more about baptisms this past six months than I have ever seen in my experience of five other KBC Associations. Some churches see baptisms every month. Some see baptisms that comprise a significant amount of their worship attendance. Also, we are seeing an increase in guests attending our services. One pastor told me that a man was driving by his church on Sunday Morning and went back home to gather his family to bring them to church service. This family has been there for seven weeks in a row. I again restate that God is moving in NKY. When a family shows up without being invited or having any connection with the church family, God is moving. I am praying for all our NKBA churches for God to continue moving in baptisms and bring new families and individuals into our churches.

For the past five months, we have been undergoing renovations at the NKBA office. We have a newly expanded kitchen, updated meeting room, conference, updated hallways and sitting area. I am very thankful for Dan and Karen Hillard updating our kitchen and for the men’s group from Burlington Baptist Church that have helped with these projects.   We hope to complete the remainder of the projects by our next meeting.

I have been working with Florence Baptist Church and Kentucky Baptist Convention on the opportunity of seeing an Arabic Speaking Church in Florence. Our NAMB missionary, Amer Safadi, who pastors in Cincinnati is committed to starting this new church. Florence Baptist Church will be the host church and the NKBA will be working with the KBC in this new church plant. We have 6,000 Arab Speaking People in the Florence Area. Also, we have a Church Planting Team organized for the city of Newport. Newport is the county seat of Campbell County and we do not have a Kentucky Baptist Church in this city. God has moved and laid this city upon our hearts. I drove through Newport and prayed for this city. Last month, I had the great opportunity with Dr. Todd Gray, the Executive Director Treasurer of the Kentucky Baptist Convention to knock on doors in Newport. In this evangelistic outreach, we found believers and nonbelievers. Most were responsive to our effort, but some were not. I had the opportunity to give out Bibles to some of the residents. Many shared prayers concerns, and we were able to pray with them. Will you join me in praying for the city of Newport for a church to be planted. Pray for the pastor that God has a pastor to lead this new church plant. Pray about the location where God wants us to start.

On June 25, we will have a Pastors Fellowship at the NKBA office at 10 am in the morning and 6 pm in the evening. Bro Barry Fields, pastor of Glendale at Cave Mill in Bowling Green, KY, will be us. He will be sharing about Church Planting and Church Revitalization from his ministry experience.

On August 1, at First Baptist Church Walton, there will be Church Prepared Training. This training is for the Prevention of Sexual Abuse. Also, there will be teaching in the areas of Response and Care. The Kentucky Baptist Convention will be using the Ministry Safe Team for this event.

Remember Northern Kentucky is a great mission field and God has called us to co-labor together. As an Association we can do more together than alone.

Blessings,

Bro. Charles Frazier

Testimonies

"Effective, lasting ministry flows from a spiritually nourished heart, one rich with Relational Intelligence. That is why I am a great fan of EMI. Their training is focused on the heart and how to love thers well — as Jesus did. You'll learn how to delight in others, listen well, affirm meaningfully, and confront gently. Our church is a healthier place because of the training we have received from EMI."

- Chris Martin, Senior Pastor, Ohio

"God-centered and Spirit-led, this was a time of deep connection with the Lord. It helped me recognize His work in and through me and identify the barriers holding me back. The experience empowered me and removed the barriers - I feel so free and unhindered!!"

- Gisela Liu, Women’s Ministry Director, Florida

"HIGHLY recommend EMI! I was so blessed to attend and be part of one of their weekend conferences last year, and it was incredibly helpful! I walked away with practical tools not only for my ministry as a pastor but, most importantly, for my heart."

- Mark Jones, Lead Pastor, Kentucky
