PROVIDERS ADVISED TO VACCINATE EVERY ELIGIBLE PERSON
To ensure all Coloradans have every opportunity to be fully vaccinated, the Colorado Joint Vaccine Task Force is joining the CDC in new guidance that advises that providers should not miss any opportunity to vaccinate every eligible person who requests a COVID-19 vaccination. GENERAL POPULATION VACCINE ELIGIBILITY TO AGES 12 AND OVER
Colorado has opened vaccine eligibility to the general public age 12 and over Your patients trust information coming from you, even those who are hesitant to get vaccinated. Find more information on how to answer patients’ questions at covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine-faq.
The Department needs your help ensuring your Health First Colorado patients and CHP+ patients get vaccinated. Do your part by letting them know when you have the vaccine available for them, or where they can get it if you don’t offer it. Let them know that the cost is entirely covered; they won’t be charged co-pays or for the office visit. Reassure them that it’s safe to come to your office and that there is transportation available if they need it.

Now that Colorado's vaccine supply is becoming readily available, more and more primary care physicians are beginning to administer vaccinations to their patient population. CDPHE created a communication toolkit for primary care doctors who can help encourage their patients to get vaccinated.

JUNE IS NATIONAL PTSD AWARENESS MONTH
There are currently about 8 million people in the United States with PTSD. Even though PTSD treatments work, most people who have PTSD don't get the help they need. Help spread the word that effective PTSD treatments are available. Everyone with PTSD—whether they are veterans or civilian survivors of sexual assault, serious accidents, natural disasters, or other traumatic events—needs to know that treatments really do work and can lead to a better quality of life. The National Center for PTSD has great resources for you to use and share.

MEN'S HEALTH WEEK IS JUNE 14 THROUGH JUNE 20--IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT IT
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, men with mental illnesses are less likely to receive mental health treatment, and men are more likely to die by suicide than women. Recognizing the signs that you or someone you know may have a mental disorder is the first step toward getting treatment.
Men with mental illnesses are less likely to have received mental health treatment than women in the past year. If you or someone you know has a mental illness, learn how to get help.

NEW PROGRAM TO SUPPORT COLORADO'S FARMERS AND RANCHERS
The Colorado Farm Bureau along with the Department of Agriculture and other partners have announced the launch of the Agricultural Addiction & Mental Health Program (CAAMHP). The CAAMHP is intended to support the farming and ranching community in Colorado by offering six free sessions with an ag friendly, licensed behavioral health professional. NO-CANCEL CULTURE: HOW TELEHEALTH IS MAKING IT EASIER TO KEEP THAT THERAPY SESSION

WHITEPAPER ON SBIRT IN COLORADO
This recently completed white paper is a product of the Adolescent SBIRT Work Group of the SBIRT Advisory Council, which serves as a committee of the Substance Abuse Trend and Response Task Force within the Colorado Office of the Attorney General.
The purpose of this paper is to 1) introduce you to the work of the Adolescent SBIRT Work Group, 2) advocate for further evaluation of and increased implementation of SBIRT in adolescent health settings, and 3) outline the future priorities and projects of this work group.

NHP DIABETES FUNDING OPPORTUNITY
NHP is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for local primary care medical providers (PCMPs) contracted with NHP, healthcare professionals/organizations and/or public health departments who serve Region 2 Medicaid members with diabetes. NHP will award grants to selected entities who propose innovative and novel approaches to improve diabetic care, management, and outcomes for adult Medicaid members attributed to Region 2.

NEW DIVISION OF INSURANCE (DOI) BROCHURES ON MENTAL HEALTH AND PREVENTIVE BENEFITS
The Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI) has developed two new free pieces of printed materials about mental/behavior health parity and preventive benefits:

The "Mental/Behavioral Health Parity Booklet" is an eight-page guide designed for health care consumers to address what Mental/Behavioral Health Parity is, how to tell when benefits have been unfairly denied, people's rights and protections and additional mental/behavioral health resources.

The “Preventive Services" rack card is a simple front and back card for consumers that discusses preventive health services and how they work under health insurance.

TELEHEALTH SURVEY--SHARE EXPERIENCES USING TELEHEALTH TO DRIVE STATEWIDE INNOVATION
It is a dynamic time for telehealth advancement in our state and nation. The Office of eHealth Innovation and Prime Health launched Regional Telehealth Learning Collaboratives to collect insights that will create a set of strategies and recommendations for statewide telehealth infrastructure. The office needs input from health care leaders around Colorado. Please consider taking this 20-minute survey to share information about telehealth in your practice as well as your own experiences with telehealth.

SUICIDE PREVENTION IN PRIMARY CARE
Mental health concerns among children and youth are rising as a result of the pandemic. Primary care providers are uniquely positioned to intervene and save lives. Partners for Children's Mental Health (PCMH) is offering training that includes consultation to help Colorado clinics implement a youth suicide prevention care pathway that guides pediatric PCPs in delivering suicide-safer care. NEW PROCESS FOR AUTHORIZATION REQUESTS
Beginning May 17, 2021 requests for authorization for 3.2WM levels of care will be submitted and approved through ProviderConnect. ProviderConnect is Beacon Health Options provider portal which makes routine tasks such as processing claims, obtaining claims information, and verifying status easy and convenient. You can access ProviderConnect from the Northeast Health Partners website or Beacon Health Options website.

EMERGENCY BROADBAND BENEFIT PROGRAM COMING SOON
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced the application window for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB) will open soon. The EBB Program was created to help households struggling to pay for internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The benefit will provide up to $50 per month for broadband service for eligible households, up to $75 per month for households on tribal lands, and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a single laptop, desktop computer or tablet. Eligibility criteria includes one or more members of a household:
- Qualifies for the FCC's existing Lifeline program
- Receives benefits under a free and reduced-price school lunch program or school breakfast program
- Lost employment or experienced a substantial loss of income since Feb. 29, 2020
- Is a student who receives a Federal Pell Grant
- Meets the eligibility criteria for your participating internet provider's existing low-income or COVID-19 program

OFFICE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF PLAYBOOK
The Office of Early Childhood is thrilled to share the highly anticipated PLAYbook with you!
The PLAYbook contains information and activities that anyone caring for young children – including parents, siblings, guardians, grandparents, babysitters, neighbors, and family friends - can use to prepare children to be successful when entering kindergarten. The PLAYbook contains activities and information that are designed to get caregivers thinking about building the child’s skills in the locations where they spend time together, using what they may already have around their home through play.
Here you will find a digital version of the PLAYbook in English and Spanish to review and share. The PDF file is interactive, allowing users to take notes or use the checklists and interactive tools digitally! The PLAYbook can also be downloaded and printed.
A communication toolkit has been developed to help you spread the word on The PLAYbook with those who care for young children. Thank you for your commitment and partnership in ensuring Colorado’s children are valued, healthy and thriving!

OFFICE OF EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY VOICE COUNCIL
The Office of Early Childhood (OEC) is currently accepting member interest forms for the OEC Family Voice Council! Please share the interest form and the flyers (in English and Spanish) with parents and caregivers in your network.
The OEC Family Voice Council's purpose is to provide input to optimize the design and delivery of early childhood programs and services to ensure all children and families in Colorado are happy, healthy and thriving. We are looking for a diverse group of people who are pregnant, parents, and/or caregivers of children ages birth through 8.
Council members will come together each month to advise, exercise leadership skills, give feedback, and ultimately improve services for children and families. Council members will also have the opportunity for other advocacy or leadership roles. Council members will be compensated for their time and expertise. Child care, mileage reimbursement and food will also be offered. Meetings are scheduled to start in late summer with a virtual meeting option.

COVID CARE IN THE AMBULATORY SETTING--WEBINARS

POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER--A LIVESTREAM EVENT
The National Institute of Mental Health is hosting a livestream event featuring NIMH-funded researcher Barbara Rothbaum, Ph.D., ABPP, professor of psychiatry and associate vice chair of clinical research at the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Rothbaum is also the executive director of the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program and Trauma and Anxiety Recovery Program.
During the event, Dr. Rothbaum will discuss PTSD signs, symptoms, and treatments, as well as the latest research on PTSD. In addition, she will discuss some of the challenges that the coronavirus outbreak has presented for individuals living with PTSD and other mental illnesses.
