Dear New Haven Ballet Friends and Families,
We look forward to welcoming you to one of our DanceAIR, Shared Ability or Spring Performances taking place over the next few weeks. In addition to celebrating the progress our dedicated students in the school have made, NHB's Company and Apprentice Company will be performing some incredible works:
Joplin Suites, choreographed by Tom Gold,
Giselle, Act II, staged by Lisa Sanborn after Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot,
Ondine, choreographed by Marc Spielberger, and an excerpt from
Coppelia, choreographed by Lisa Sanborn. We also have several fundraising initiatives happening this month and thank you for any support you are able to provide!

Great Give MAY 5-6:
PLEASE PARTICIPATE!
The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven is once again sponsoring this
community-wide online giving event. The event runs May 5 - 6 and allows NHB to compete for cash prizes and matches.
We are offering an opportunity to our students to participate as well. Wear any leotard (any color or style) to class in exchange for a donation pledge!

Emily Coates Master Class:
Thank you, Emily Coates, Yale Lecturer Theater Studies, for teaching an incredible Master Ballet Technique Class on April 25 for NHB's Level 6/7/8 students!

Raffle:
Drawing: Spring Performance Cast Party
Date: May 16, 2015
Time: 4:30-5:30 pm.
Tickets on sale beginning May 2-3.
Tickets: $2/each or 3 for $5.
Students are asked to donate an item to their class's theme basket to be
raffled off at the Spring Performance Party. All proceeds from the
raffle will go towards our programming to ensure it is stronger than ever for everyone at NHB.
Class Themes:
At the Beach - Creative Ballet 1, Creative Ballet 2, Pre Ballet and Primary.
In the Garden - Levels 1 & 2
At the Movies - Levels 3 & 4
At the Spa - Levels 5 & 6
In the Dance Bag - Levels 7 & 8
If you would rather not donate an item, you may make a cash donation. All monetary donations will be put together to purchase theme items or a gift certificate which will then be put into the class basket.

Kathryn Sullivan Master Classes:
NHB is thrilled to announce that Kathryn Sullivan from STEPS on Broadway and Peridance in New York City will teach master classes for the Shoreline Level 2/3 and 4/5 classes on Saturday, May 2! This is a tremendous opportunity for our younger Shoreline students to learn from a distinguished guest master teacher.

May 8 at 7 pm: DanceAIR - Fair Haven School, 164 Grand Avenue, New Haven. Features students from six underserved New Haven Public Schools and special guest artists.
May 9 at 3 pm: Shoreline and Shared Ability - Co-Op High School, 177 College Street, New Haven.
May 15 at 7 pm & May 16 at 1 and 3 pm: New Haven - Co-Op High School, 177 College Street, New Haven.
