Kinnochiwa Southernites and Friends:

It’s been a productive week in Tokyo, but I must admit I look forward to returning to the U.S. Japan is a culturally rich country with a fascinating history. I continue to believe the two countries have much to learn from each other, and there continues to be tremendous opportunities for international collaboration. My trip here reminded me just how much these countries have in common. While I was here, Japan held its national election -- a reminder that it is a democratic country much like ours. The second day that I arrived, a typhoon hit the country. It turned out to be a small storm by the time it hit Tokyo, but it was again a reminder of our many friends and alumni who have been impacted by hurricanes in the U.S. and abroad recently...
We are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new sualumni.org member community. Now you’ll have a new way to easily connect with fellow "Southernites", share information across the Southern University Alumni Federation (SUAF) network and manage your membership preferences.
To get started, go to sualumni.org  and sign in. You can use your current member login information or sign in through Facebook or LinkedIn. You will be introduced to several new features and requested to make profile updates. These updates are extremely important because they ensure we have your correct information. Note that some fields are mandatory. This was done to help us communicate key Southern University System news, enhance search capability and to provide an overall improved alumni experience for you and fellow SUAF members.

Also note that in order to vote in the 2018 SUAF election of officers, we desperately need your most current information (and you must be in good financial standing with the organization). SU and the alumni federation needs you now more than ever. You matter to us!
 
As an added bonus, we now have an App! Go to the Apple or Google Store and download the "Social Link" app. Similarly to the above, you can use your sualumni.org username and password to log in. It is a similar experience to "Facebook" and "LinkedIn".  
 
If you have never logged into sualumni.org , have forgotten your username and/or password or are having any other challenges with the new site, please email sualumni@sualumni.org or call alumni affairs on 225-771-4200. Please be patient with us as we make these important technology changes. If no answer, please leave a message. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
