Black Diamond Realty is excited to announce a New Development located near the heart of West Virginia University's Evansdale Campus.

Oakland Street will soon be home to a brand new Par Mar Retail Store/Restaurant. Slated for completion in August 2017, the 9,979 (+/-) square foot building will include the all new Par Mar Kitchen concept with made-to-order food, a beer cave with seven reach-in doors, a wine selection, WVU merchandise and magazines, DVD rentals, cell phone accessories, and a selection of frozen foods, in addition to traditional retail store items. The new building will also host a restaurant on the second level. Additional information coming soon on the upper level restaurant. Black Diamond Realty represented the landlord throughout the process which included preparing professional marketing material, spreading the word via multiple platforms, utilizing our extensive network to maximize exposure, securing interested parties and negotiating a long-term lease.

Adjacent to the project you will find University Park, a 1,310 bed all-inclusive student living experience, the WVU Alumni Center, the WVU Health Sciences campus and the WVU football stadium. Transportation in the area includes two separate PRT stations within 0.5 mile, as well as Mountain Line bus stops. When complete, the store will offer ample parking, with roughly 55-64 spaces.
As of 2015, there were 76,673 people living within a 5-mile radius. The total daytime population is 109,370 with 68,107 employees. In 2015, there were 30,608 households and 11,655 renter-occupied housing units within a 5-mile radius with a median household income is $39,503 and an average household income of $62,896 (MapInfo Pro, 2015). The new project at 453 Oakland Street is located just off of Route 705 (Van Voorhis Road), where there is a daily traffic count of 38,879 vehicles per day (WVDOH, 2014).
