Things are beginning to settle out a bit after our Dallas trip. You know about our newest machines coming from BERNINA---but what you might not know is that many of the newest machines are here and ready to ship out to us!!! In previous years, we had the excitement of the new things, then long delays before we could receive them for you. Not this year! So stay tuned and let the excitement flow because we are waiting now for them to arrive. If you’re interested, just let us know and keep reading the newsletter and staying on Meta with us for the latest. The B790 Pro needs to be experienced, and I never thought I’d be thinking about a trade-in of my 790 Plus, but indeed I am! If you’ll be looking for gently used BERNINAs, now is the time to keep checking with us. I anticipate that quite a few people will be moving into the new BERNINA PRO in the anthracite flat black (Yay!!! No more fingerprints on my machine!). And the new self-threading, push-the-button to thread the machine feature is a huge plus for my bad eyes! Quilting in the hoop, edge to edge quilting, morphing designs, teeny-weenie spot on laser just in front of the needle all make me want to make the switch, plus knowing that this latest version will be around for quite a while all make me a happy girl! And of course, all the FREE trolleys and stuff don’t hurt either! |  | |
And we’re anxiously awaiting the day that we can share with you the latest NEW innovation from Grace. Lynn and I have been holding this in since our VDTA trip to Las Vegas, and boy, has that been hard to keep under wraps. But very soon, everyone will know the newest machine from Grace! What truly pleases me the most with both Grace/Q’nique and with BERNINA, is that they are both truly advancing their products technologically, not just adding bells and whistles to an existing product. The bells and whistles are always good, but I am so pleased to see true advancements made by research and development, and that the companies really are listening to the types of advancements we consumers are looking for. There is a lot of new info. coming your way regarding the new Rebel, which I believe will be the first of its kind!!! We will have it in shop soon, since we placed our order while in Las Vegas. Sun Valley Quilts and the Grace Company will be co-hosting our first virtual live event. This will be an opportunity to stay in the comfort of your home (avoid those terrible afternoon temps) while learning and asking questions! Additionally this week we have Garden Party quilt with Marilyn on Wed. and Thursday, 9-3. It’s a great quilt incorporating many different techniques including Ruler Work for quilting. Marilyn is the best, and is never afraid to share her tips with you to make things better/smoother when ruler quilting. You can make this quilt any size your little heart desires---you just add more blocks! It has drawn a lot of attention, so don’t miss out. | |
If you’re new to quilting, you don’t want to miss our beginner’s class, Jumpstart (as in…jumpstart your quilting). It will be Friday afternoon (1-4:30) and Saturday (9:30-3:30), and Sunday from 12-4. You can come in a bit early and get set up so you’re ready to start at 1 on Friday, leave your machine overnight, set up, then finish up your project on Sunday. Call and sign up so Andi knows how many to expect please. Price is $75 for all 3 days of instruction. Learn the correct way from the start, and you will have no bad habits to break or frustrations to deal with and spoil your fun. Besides, Andi has probably heard all the issues during past classes, and she has the patience of a saint. | |
