Legacy Celebrates Pride 2017 

Legacy Community Health marked this year's Pride month with outreach, education, and celebratory events in Houston and Beaumont to honor the history, struggles, and accomplishments of the LGBTQ community.

"From the moment we  opened...our staff and volunteers have been the embodiment of what it means to be PROUD," said Russell Etherton, Legacy Montrose Community Relations Manager. "We live and breathe PRIDE here at Legacy, every day in every way." 
Etherton and Director of Patient Outreach/Access Trilena Amos (2nd and 3rd from left) spoke to BASF Texas employees about being effective, inspiring LGBTQ allies. BASF donated $2,000 to Legacy!

POP+ Graduates Recognized

Congratulations to Marnina Miller and Graham Maio, recipients of the 2017 Violet Awards and graduates of Legacy's Positive Organizing Project (POP+). The event, hosted during Pride Week, honors SGL/LGBT activists under-40 in Houston.  Marnina and Graham have hosted an HIV Youth Outreach event, and Graham authored a play about a man imprisoned for not disclosing his HIV+ status before sex.
