THIS MONTH WITH BIA
VICTORY ALERTS!
LA City: Wood Construction
Last week, BIA-LAV testified against the prohibition of wood construction at the City's Public Safety Committee meeting. The final outcome eventuated in the adoption of BIA requested amendments and kept the Motion from moving forward as an Ordinance. Instead, staff will prepare a report, before action is taken. This fight is not over, but this is good news! Contact BIA-LAV here for more information.
LA County: Art Fee
For the last three years BIA has been keeping the Art Fee from moving forward in the County of Los Angeles. Yesterday, thanks to BIA's advocacy, the the Board of Supervisors chose to continue the item until September. This issue still threatens to increase the cost to build housing, but this was a hard fought delay. Contact BIA-LAV here for more information.

BIA-LV MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Please join us in recognizing BIA Member Emily Grene Corp! Emily Grene Corp’s philosophy is that they are not another trade, they are a partner. It is through this ideology that Emily Grene Corp provides exceptional service to each of their clients. What is unique about the company is that they provide Electrical, Low Voltage and HVAC services in both the Residential and Commercial Industries.

This year we decided to join the BIA as we wanted to become more visible in the building industry. With the onset of COVID and the world becoming more virtual, the BIA is allowing us to still interact with Builders and other trades in a safe and fun fashion. We look forward to this year’s events and meeting new people.– The Emily Grene Corp Team
