NEECA Work Day, April 13th

A quick reminder that we could really use some help on April 13th for the Work Day. We like to get NEECA looking spiffy for the new year, and we have some important projects lined up that include: painting, cleaning/repairing some fencing, opening up the Confidence Course, hanging up signs, etc. Even if you can just spare a few hours b/w 9-1, it would be a GREAT help!

As riding season draws closer, we wanted to make sure everyone has up to date information regarding riding at NEECA. Please note, anyone can use the trails at NEECA, but only current 2024 NEECA members can use the amenities, including: Round Pen, Warm-Up Area, Driving Area, Confidence Course, and Main Arena

The NEECA gates are usually closed in order to deter mischief, but they are NEVER LOCKED
Park is open from Dawn to Dusk every day
Members are welcome to ride at the park anytime
If you would like to use the Main Arena, cost is $5 per 90 minute session, and you need to contact 124cab@gmail.com to schedule a time
We ask that you sign a waiver before riding at the park. You can do so online: https://www.neeca.org/liability-release-form
Please close the gate when you leave, as long as there is no official event taking place that day
Clean up around your trailer before leaving. There is a dumpster on site for trash, and do not leave any manure in parking areas
Only school your horse in designated riding areas
NEECA Brochure Trail Maps can be found underneath sign at the front gate
Park only in Trailer Parking Area if the ground is soft

APRIL EVENTS AT NEECA

The first of Heron's Crest Stables Schooling Jumper Show is scheduled for April 21st in the NEECA Main Arena. More details on this relaxed, fun, supportive show will be coming soon but we hope you will save the date!

CLASS LIST

The NEECA Drivers will be kicking off a VERY busy year with their first driving day scheduled for Monday, April 22nd, in the Althea Bramhall Driving Arena back by the Confidence Course.

Feeling Lucky? If you are, join us on April 27th for the annual NEECA Poker Ride. Amble around the well marked NEECA trail system looking for that winning hand! Great fun for the entire family. And don't forget about the great prizes!

Cavalry Re-Enactment Event being held on Sunday, April 28th. People will be invited to come watch, or bring their horses to join in on the fun. More details coming soon on both NEECA's website and FB page.

NEECA IS ADDING VSE (Very Small Equines) TO OUR MULE/DONKEY SHOW THIS YEAR! AUGUST 3RD

Did you hear the great news?? This year VSE's (Very Small Equines) will be invited to participate in NEECA's Mule & Donkey Show. Talk about a FUN day! Show will be taking place at NEECA's Main Arena on August 3rd. More information/class list coming soon. Contact Terry at terrylupien360@gmail.com with any questions

May 11th Versatility Clinic Spots Available

Looking to give your young or green horse a little exposure, with the guidance of a professional horse trainer? Or just want to take your old "steady Eddie" out for a little fun? Either way, this supportive, low pressure Versatility Clinic conducted by Pete Whitmore at the NEECA Confidence Course on May 11th is the perfect opportunity! Work with your horse under Pete's guidance to try out the 10+ fun obstacles available at the Confidence Course, plus Pete brings a few of his own fun challenges.

Morning session is full but we still have a few afternoon spots available. Go to neeca.org/versatility-clinic-may-11th for more details and/or to sign up today.

Please remember to only park in Trailer Parking Driveway when the ground is soft to avoid rutting up area around main arena in the Spring.
