Thank you to everyone who supported our student-athletes and the Athletic Department yesterday at our annual Triton Golf Classic. From our sponsors, student and adult volunteers, golf participants and our athletic coaches, we could not be as successful as we are without all of you.

Attention Senior Parents - Book Your Senior Photos

As you begin planning your student's senior photo session, please keep in mind the following school requirements for yearbook submission.

Size and Orientation: The photos should be wallet-sized, measuring 2.5" x 3.5", in color, and in a vertical orientation.

Pose: The pose should be a close-up head-and-shoulder shot, with no hats, props, or hands in the photo. This means focusing on the face and upper body.

Attire: While uniforms are not mandatory, students must wear school-appropriate attire, and all shoulders must be covered. Ensure that the clothing complies with the school's dress code.

Grooming: Boys must be cleanly shaven in their senior portrait to comply with the school's dress code.

Following these guidelines will ensure that your child's senior portrait meets the requirements set by the administration and reflects well in the yearbook.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please contact Joey Rickards.

Summer Reading

Summer is a wonderful time for students to explore their interests in reading beyond what is available on their phones and computers. Reading is an integral part of success in high school. However, students often develop negative attitudes towards reading when it is deemed "required" or when specific titles are "prescribed" from a list.

NDA English teachers suggest letting students choose what they want to read this summer. We expect all NDA students to read daily; 20 minutes is a simple recommendation. We encourage families of NDA students to discuss the specific summer reading expectations within their own homes. Upon returning to school in the fall, students will be asked to write about and discuss any book they read over the summer.

If you have any questions or would like reading suggestions, please contact our NDA librarian Katie Gelb or English Department Chair, Jean Thillman.
