New SLTC and NC SFI SIC Committee Chairs

The NCFA would like to thank Mike Cheston, 2022/2023 Chair of Safe Logging and Transportation Committee (SLTC), and Jadie Andrews, 2022/2023 Chair of NC SFI State Implementation Committee (SIC), for their service. Stepping into these roles for the 2023/2024 term are Matt Allen, SLTC and Will Reece, NC SFI SIC.

Employee Retention Credit Opportunity

The NCFA has partnered with Delta ERC to help members interested in taking advantage of the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) – a refundable tax credit for businesses and tax-exempt organizations. Anyone that kept 5-500 employees working through the pandemic is eligible for the program.

ProLogger Module 24 In-Person Trainings

February 23 | Seaboard, NC


On Friday, February 23, there will be an in-person ProLogger Module 24 training at West Fraser Seaboard Mill, 4400 NC-186, Seaboard, NC 27876. There will be a lunch at 12 p.m., and the training begins at 1:00 p.m. This class is open to the first 25 registrants.

On Thursday, March 7, the NCFA is hosting an in-person ProLogger Module 24 training at

Lake Logan Retreat Center, 25 Wormy Chestnut Lane, Canton, NC 28716. The training will take place from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Forestry Course and Forest Worker Credential coming to North Carolina

The NCFA has been working with ForestryWorks® and NC FFA to create a high school forestry course! AN53 Natural Resources II - Forestry is being implemented in NC schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Upon completion of this course, students with a passing exam grade receive a Forest Worker Credential.
