Dear North Carolina retirement benefit recipient:

Congratulations on your retirement! As with any new beginning, there are a lot of decisions to be made and options to consider. The NC Retirement Systems has partnered with Pierce Insurance to bring you the following supplemental plans:

As a new retiree, enrollment ends 60 days after you have received your first retirement benefit payment. Example: If your 1st check arrives in the mail on January 25, 2024, enrollment ends on March 25, 2024. You may also enroll or make changes during the annual open enrollment.

These plans are voluntary and only available to retirees from the North Carolina Retirement Systems. I encourage you to take the time to learn about these valuable supplemental insurance plans.
