CONGRATULATIONS TO THE XHS CLASS OF 2024!

Earlier this afternoon, we celebrated the graduation of our 162 seniors who are now our newest alumni! A special "thank you" to Archbishop Zinkula who was on hand to offer the invocation and benediction. Charlie Bostwick was the student speaker by virtue of his role as a school director and Emme Quinn was named the "Top Academic Achiever" for the Class of 2024.

Congratulations to the entire XHS Class of 2024 -- we are proud of you and excited to see where your journeys take you from here. May God bless you and your road ahead!

2024-25 XHS Families: Application Deadline Extended through TODAY for Scholarship Opportunities

The application deadline has been extended through TODAY (May 19) for two scholarship opportunities for students who wish to attend Xavier High School: Mikayla Sherman (X15) Scholarship & Jim Victor (R64) Memorial Scholarship.

Summer Student Volunteer Opportunities in Foundation Office

Looking for your student to get out of the house and do something productive this summer? Want them to gain office experience and help build the resume? The Xavier Foundation Office has a need for summer volunteers!

• Immediate need: Phone calls to donors! This project will begin early June.
• Additional projects could include: Assembling mailings, delivering items to parishes/donors, helping set up for events, database/research, etc.
• No set hours, vary by projects each week – will reach out via email as projects are available throughout the summer.

If interested, email advancement@xavierfoundation.org with your student’s name and grade, availability, and preferred method of contact.

XPX Uniform & Spirit Wear Collection

XPX will once again be collecting “graduated” and out-grown GENTLY WORN uniforms. These items will be available in August for purchase at the annual SAINTS SHOP Back-to-School Sale! All proceeds from this sale will directly benefit the XPX programs, which support the students, staff and teachers at Xavier. When you clean out those closets, please bring ANY UNIFORM APPROVED items (polos, sweaters, quarter-zips, pants) to the main office. Gentle used spirit wear will be accepted too. All items must be without stains or tears. Thank you for your support!

Parent Donations Needed

XPX will hold an end of the school year luncheon for all teachers and staff on Friday, May 24th, 2024. Please see the following link if you would like to help donate items to the event. All donations can be dropped off on the cart outside of the main office on Friday, May 24th from 7:30-10am. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Schmit at 329-3906 or kschmipt@gmail.com. Junior Leadership Mass

We will end the year in the same way we began—celebrating the Mass together around the Lord’s table. Our last Mass of the school year will be at 10:50 am in the Ron Thillen Gymnasium on the last day of school, Friday, May 24. All are welcome to join!

Xavier Booster Club Golf Outing - June 24th - Volunteers Needed!

The Xavier Booster Club is hosting it’s 27th Annual Golf Outing on Monday June 24th at Elmcrest Country Club. We are looking for volunteers to help at many different times of the day.  Please consider signing up to help us support our 30+ Xavier sports, fine arts and other clubs and activities.

Sport Physicals Offered

Family Physicians of Cedar Rapids is once again offering Sports physicals this summer for all students. 

• Dates: July 9 - August 16
• Cost $45 (will not be submitted to insurance) cash, check or credit card accepted. A donation of $5.00 per physical will be made to Xavier Athletic Department.

Boys Golf Parent/Player Meeting

There will be a Boys Golf Parent/Player informational meeting for all those boys planning on playing golf this fall for Xavier on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 6:00pm in the Xavier Library.
