The goal of the Transplant Nutrition Conference is to provide state-of-the-art information on the science and practice of transplant nutrition to solid organ transplant dietitians and other transplant professionals. The conference offers continuing education lectures on current adult and pediatric topics, as well as a hands-on workshop, round-table sessions, and other opportunities for networking and informal practice discussions.
This conference is appropriate for both the entry level and the advanced practice transplant dietitian and provides content to maintain required competency in transplant nutrition. This conference will be exclusively in-person in Chapel Hill, NC.
At the conclusion of the 2-day Transplant Nutrition Workshop, the attendees will be able to:
- Identify best practices for transplant dietitians in the management of adult and pediatric candidates, recipients, and living donors
- Discuss emerging trends in transplant nutrition including the use of weight loss medications, identifying eating disorders in patients, management of transplant patients in the intensive care unit, and more.
- Understand the application of frailty assessments and the concepts of prehabilitation and rehabilitation.
- Have an opportunity for interaction and network building with your peers.
