Dear Sharon,

Welcome to NASN2024! Day 1 was a full day starting with NASN's Annual Meeting, where we celebrated achievements of the past year, delved into exciting plans for the future, and inducted Fellows and Honorary Fellows into the National Academy of School Nursing!

The day continued with three sets of breakout sessions, that touched on topics such as advocacy, diabetes care, mentorship, mental health, DEI, and suicide prevention.

To cap off the day, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of school nurses and other school health champions at our second annual awards celebration, NASN's Lily Awards. Attendees danced the night away at the Lily After-Party, a dance party sponsored by School Health Corporation.

Thank You to All of the NASN2024 Sponsors!

We extend our gratitude to all the exhibitors and sponsors for the incredibly valuable information and resources shared. Your involvement and support are highly appreciated.

Session Slides & Handouts

Please remember that all session slides and handouts speakers share are ONLY available in the mobile app. Each session in the schedule should have a SLIDES icon where slides are located. You will see a handout icon above the SLIDES icon if the session has handouts. Many sessions have slides but no handouts. When viewing the slides or handouts in the mobile app, look for options to email these documents to yourself; you can then save, view, or print them from your computer.

Framework Updates

The Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice (Framework) was developed in 2015. While many aspects of school nursing remain the same over time, there are nuances of school nursing practice that have shifted during the past decade. These shifts influenced NASN to refresh the Framework in 2024. One change associated with the refresh is a new name, School Nursing Practice Framework (Framework). With the recent refresh, please expect to see the former and new names of the Framework referenced at different times during this conference. Refer to page 32 of your in-person printed program for the updated Framework.
