Sophia Cuevas, a Peebles Elementary student, was named the Doodle for Google Pennsylvania Winner. Doodle for Google ambassadors set up a surprise for Sophia to hear the news with her classmates and parents. It was also Sophia’s birthday, making the celebration even more fun for her.
The Doodle for Google competition is a contest where K-12 students across the United States have the opportunity to create their own version of the Google logo inspired by the prompt “My wish for the next 25 years…”
Let’s help Sophia get the win. Her Doodle can be found in the GRADES 4-5 group for PENNSYLVANIA.
If she wins the National prize, she will take home a $55,000 college scholarship and Peebles will receive a $50,000 tech package towards the establishment or improvement of a computer lab or technology program. Ready... Set... VOTE!

LEAVING OR ENROLLING AT NASD?
MOVING OVER THE SUMMER? DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION!
If you’re moving to a new area in the district, please let your school office know as soon as possible. You can log onto PowerSchool, click on FORMS, and submit a Change of Demographic form. This will enable us to make accurate enrollment, scheduling, and transportation plans for the coming school year.
We certainly don’t want to see you go, but if you are leaving the district, please log into PowerSchool, click on FORMS, and submit a withdrawal form. Your student(s) will also need to turn in any electronics and library books before the end of the school year.
HELP OUR REGISTRATION OFFICE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT ENROLLMENT!
During the summer, if you meet individuals new to the district, please encourage them to register their student(s) prior to August to receive important back-to-school information. Registration prior to August also helps the district plan for class sizes across schools and transportation needs.

NASH PRESCHOOL OPENINGS
The NASH Preschool Program is currently taking applications for Fall Preschool. There are limited spots remaining in both our AM and PM sessions. Classes meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the cost is $200 per year. You must be a resident of North Allegheny to attend.
