Grade Alert Email Notifications in PowerSchool for Students Grades 6-12

For students in grades 6-12, PowerSchool has a feature for parents/guardians to receive email alerts when a new grade is available in PowerSchool. This feature can be accessed under “Email Notification.”

Student Absence Form Now Available in PowerSchool

North Allegheny School District is accepting student absence excuses electronically through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Information for parents/guardians can be found on our website.

Community Connections: Online Safety & Awareness

September 25, 2023 - 6:30 p.m. - Marshall Middle School

North Allegheny School District is partnering with the FBI to provide Online Safety and Awareness presentations to our middle school and high school students. 

During the first two weeks of September, FBI Community Outreach Specialist Felicia Trovato will present a program in each middle school and at both high schools. The program is designed to educate our students about the dangers behind digital footprints and the intentional and unintentional sharing of digital data. These are specific programs for each grade level that are uniquely designed to be age-appropriate and educational.

• On Monday, September 25th, Community Outreach Specialist Trovato will facilitate a Town Hall meeting.

Elementary School Open Houses

September 14, 2023

As we embark on this new school year, we are excited to invite you to our annual Elementary School Open House event on September 14th. All NASD Elementary Schools will host Open House on September 14.

This is an exciting opportunity for you and your child to explore our school, meet teachers, and gain valuable insights into their classroom experience!

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have organized the schedule as follows:

• Families with last names A-M are invited to attend from 6:00-6:45 p.m.
• Families with last names N-Z are invited to attend from 7:00-7:45 p.m.

Please note: This staggered time approach allows for convenient parking and ensures a comfortable number of people within the building at any given time. 

We extend a warm welcome to all members of your family to join us at the Elementary School Open House. Students are encouraged to attend, as it will provide them with an opportunity to show you their classroom, share classroom procedures, and highlight their classroom experience. 

Open House does not include any formal presentations by teachers. Instead, teachers will be present in their classrooms to personally welcome you and informally answer any questions you may have at this time. This night is an opportunity for your child to proudly showcase their learning space, introduce you to their teachers, and share their daily experiences with you. This unique perspective will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of your child's educational journey and the environment in which they thrive.

If you do not want your child’s recording, picture, or video displayed on the North Allegheny School District’s website or in any other District or school/classroom-based publication/communication/social media during the school year, please send a written request to the main office at your child’s school by Friday, September 29, 2023

NASH Tennis Court Closures
