Verus Announces Sale of VanDeMark Chemical Inc.Verus Investment Partners announced that it has sold its portfolio company VanDeMark Chemical Inc., for an undisclosed value. VanDeMark is the largest independent manufacturer of specialty phosgene derivatives. VanDeMark products are primarily used in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, plastics/polymers, and CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers) applications. The company was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Lockport, New York. |

DPI Portfolio Company Featured in Private Equity InternationalBiopharm, a leading indigenous pharmaceuticals company in Algeria and portfolio company of Development Partners International, was featured in Private Equity International's article, "Making Lemonade: How Portfolio Companies have Adapted to COVID-19." The article states that Biopharm started producing hydroalcoholic gel for hand sanitizing products, converting production lines previously used to produce creams and gels for topical use. Biopharm also donated the first 30,000 and plans to sell the rest nearly at cost. |

Jackie Kim Park and Richard Chesley Named Co-US Managing Partners of DLA PiperDLA Piper LLP announced that Jackie Kim Park and Richard Chesley have been named co-US Managing Partners of the firm. Park and Chesley succeed Stasia Kelly, who has served as US managing partner since 2013 and who will now move into the role of executive director client relations. Park, who previously served as vice-chair of DLA Pipers US Real Estate practice and co-managing partner of the Los Angeles offices, is a member of the firms Executive, Partner Compensation, Partner Nominating and Policy committees. Chesley, who is also a global co-chair of the firms Restructuring practice, is the former US co-chair of the practice and former co-managing partner of the Chicago office. |
Clearlake Capital Group Announces Senior Promotions and New AdditionsClearlake Capital Group, L.P. announced senior executive promotions and new additions to the team. Fred Ebrahemi has been named Chief Operating Officer, and Paul Huber has been promoted to Principal. John Cannon has joined the firm as Managing Director, O.P.S. & Deputy General Counsel, becoming part of the team of professionals that implements Clearlakes proprietary framework for value enhancement, and Jessica Mariduena has joined the firm as Assistant Vice President, Tax & Accounting.
