U.S. DOT & FTA Resources

U.S. DOT to Update Equity Action Plan

U.S. DOT is soliciting public comments on meaningful activities to advance equity as part of its 2024 update to its Equity Action Plan. Comments are due by August 14. See full details about how to respond along with links to the Federal Register notice and the DOT Strategic Plan.

The National Center for Applied Transit Technology (N-CATT) is accepting applications for transit agencies to receive one-on-one technical assistance through the Center’s Strategic Technology Technical Assistance Teams (STTATs). N-CATT will review and accept applications on a rolling basis.


N-CATT is offering technical assistance from now through September 1 to help ensure your agency is on the right path. Sign up to be matched with the right expert for your agency’s needs.


Show off your creative side by entering the 2024 National RTAP Photo Contest! Entries must include a drawing, painting, sculpture, quilt, collage or an artistic digital image that depicts rural or tribal transit. Submit your artwork by August 23.


Save the date: The Social Security Administration’s National Disability Forum (NDF) is hosting a webinar "Removing Barriers to Accessing Services in Tribal Communities" on August 29 from 1:00-3:00 PM ET. Registration will open soon.  

Funding Opportunities

Enhancing Mobility Innovation: The FTA is accepting applications for $1.94 million available for technology projects that seek to improve and develop new approaches and tools to improve mobility. Deadline: August 30, 2024


Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility: The FTA announced the availability of $2.5 million to establish a CCAM TA Center to improve transportation access for people with disabilities, older adults and individuals of low income. Deadline: August 30, 2024


Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Opportunity: This funding announcement is an opportunity for communities to apply for funding to engage adults ages 55 and older in tackling the community’s most pressing needs through the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program. Deadline: September 18, 2024
