Something to think about

.....Recently I was having lunch at a restaurant in Cambridge, an hour from my home, with Rev. Heather Power. Heather is the new lead minister at Norval United. Heather started January 1st and she is going to be wonderful!

.....As we were talking I looked over at one of the booths and noticed someone who looked familiar, but I couldn't place them. They looked at me and their seemed to be some recognition. We finished our lunch. The person came over and said "Are you Paul?" I nodded. She said, "I heard your voice and knew it was you." (I guess I talk loud in restaurants.)

.....She introduced herself as Shirley Dueck, a Daily Minute reader for a number of years who, with her Californian brother-in-law who also gets the Minute, had attended Norval about a year prior. We couldn't believe the coincidence. Shirley met Heather and of course they knew similar acquaintances. It is a small world.

.....I have a friend who says that kind of meeting isn't a coincidence, it's a God-incidence. I think we all have them. All we can do is shake our head and say, "Well, that was amazing."

We pray

.....We all have them God. Those coincidences - meeting people in unexpected places, things coming together that we could not have anticipated, the card or email that came just at the right time - things that leave us shaking our heads, wondering how in the world that happened. We cannot understand them, but we love them. Keep them coming, God! Amen.
