Energy Project Field Trips coming soon!

Parents & Caregivers,

The 10th grade has embarked on their final interdisciplinary project of the year - Energy! Through an immersive look at how energy is produced, transformed, transmitted and consumed, students are learning about the financial, environmental and social costs of living in an electrified world. Students will be interfacing with professionals in a variety of fields within the energy sector, and applying the principles they're learning about in their humanities, math and science courses. We have 3 field trips coming up during the energy project. Please see below for electronic versions of the permission slips for the first two trips that you can print at home, or make a copy of it and fill out and send to Elliot Baglini - elliot.baglini@animashighschool.com.

Vallecito dam & solar farm tour - Tuesday, 4/16. Permission slip here

San Juan College School of Energy - Friday, 4/19. Permission slip here

Sophomore Inspire Week, Monday 4/29 - Wednesday 5/1. Students chose among 5 organizations to partner with for a three day service project and were placed into small groups of 8-12 students. Permission slips for this event will be sent out by the different group leaders as we get closer to that date, as different groups will be going to different locations.

Student participation is required, as these events will take the place of Core Classes. Please have your student to school on time during these days as we will be leaving campus by 8:45am at the latest.

Please reach out to Elliot or anyone on the 10th grade team if you have questions or concerns.
