We Need Your Input!

We are planning our November Caregiver Event and would like your input on the topics we offer as breakout sessions. Please take a moment to let us know which topics you're interested in. If there is a topic you'd like that's not listed, please let us know. I can't guarantee it will be added but we would like to know where our gaps are.

This survey is available through Friday, August 9, 2024.

Thank you in advance for your help! Now that you've been part of the planning process, please make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, November 2, 2024, for our caregiver event. The event will be held at Curative Connections and FREE respite will be provided.

Upcoming Events

  • Mug Club Caregiver Support Group - Wednesday, August 14, 2024. There is no need to register, just show up as life allows for either meeting.
  • Virtually: 10 - 11 a.m. Reminder that we switched over to Microsoft Teams for this meeting. If this is new to you, instructions can be found here on how to get set up. I will open the meeting early if you have any questions on how things work (commenting in chat, raising your hand, etc.).
  • In-Person: 5:30 - 7 p.m. In person at ADRC, 300 S Adams St, Green Bay. The agency will be closed for the day and the doors locked. Please come to the single door entrance (south side) and ring the doorbell. We will be watching and listening to let you in.
  • For each meeting: A picture speaks 1,000 words! We postponed this activity from the June meeting to September to allow more to participate. We'd like to do a little exercise in each group (virtual and in-person). Prior to the September meeting, please send me (or stop by so I can take a picture) something that reflects the relationship between you and the person you care for. This could be anything from a wedding picture, snow globe, a family heirloom you'd like to pass down some day - something that signifies your relationship with them. We will then go around and have each person share a little bit (1-2 minutes) about the item they brought. If you coming to the in-person meeting, and can send me a picture of the item or stop by with the item for me to take a picture of it, I can work on a slide presentation so the group can all see the item at once versus passing it around. Just a thought. Let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

  • We've partnered with the YMCAs for a few caregiver presentations. You don't need to be a member of the YMCA to join us.
  • Powerful Tools for Caregivers: Identify and Reduce Your Stress - Great as a single class, equally as great as an introduction to the full 6-week series later this fall.
  • Thursday, 8/1/24, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at YMCA East, 1740 Huron Rd.
  • Wednesday, 8/7/24, 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. at YMCA West, 601 Cardinal Ln.

  • Save the Date: Caregiver Q&A - Wednesday, September 4, 2024, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Curative Connections West. Join Pharmacist Jeff Kirchner from Streu's Pharmacy Bay Natural. Bring your questions & concerns and learn about information and resources for you and your loved ones.
