SANTA MAKING FIRST STOP IN CRANBERRY
Before Santa makes his way around town in December, he’ll make Santa’s First Stop from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 17 at the Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.
All are welcome to this free festive community event!
Pets love Santa too! Come get a photo of you and your pet with Santa Paws. Please bring your own camera to take photos. Each 10 minutes session is reserved for 1-3 domestic animals.
MARKET MAKES SHOPPING EASY
The Holiday Village Market, hosted by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber of Commerce, is happening from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, December 2 in the front parking lot of the Municipal Center. This festive follow-up to the Farmer Market’s season promises to have something for everyone!
A DEEPAVALI CELEBRATION
To celebrate Deepavali, community members created a Rangoli, a traditional piece of Indian art, in Municipal Center Square. Members of the Cranberry Township Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory (IDEA) Team hosted the event. The Rangoli will be on display in the Municipal Center thru November 10.
CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS
Celebrate Chanukah with a festive public lighting of a nine-foot tall menorah on the Municipal Center front lawn at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 7. The event and menorah will be provided by the Chabad Fox Chapel Jewish Center and the Cranberry Jewish Community Association.
LOVE YOUR LIBRARY
As the Library celebrates its 50th anniversary, the community’s continued support is more important than ever. Via the annual fundraising campaign, you can continue supporting a community staple that promotes and supports lifelong learning, sharing, collaboration, creativity, and discovery.
The Cranberry Snow Angels is a volunteer program that assists residents shovel snow after a storm. Snow Angels are partnered with residents-in-neeed to remove snow and help keep sidewalks and driveways passable.
The application for Snow Angel volunteers opens Monday, November 13, and the application for (shovel) requests opens Monday, November 20. The program runs from December 1 until the last snowstorm of the season.

Cranberry Township’s mission to consistently improve the parks system has received a financial boost via a $2.8 million grant from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2). It is the largest grant awarded.

PICKLEBALL BLOWS UP
The pickleball complex at UPMC Passavant Sportsplex at Graham park has changed dramatically as membership in the Cranberry Township Pickleball Association has skyrocketed. The most recent enhancements provide a place for year-round play.
Recycling (blue top) and yard waste (green top) carts that were manufactured between 2004 and 2008 are eligible for the free replacement. The age of the carts can be identified via the first two numbers of the serial number on the front of the cart. Contact Customer Service at 724-776-4806 and request a replacement. The replacement is covered via a grant received by the Township, which decreases the financial impact on customers.

KEEP IT CLEAN, FOLLOW CART RULES
Vogel Disposal Service, the Township’s contracted sanitation company, will issue resident violation cards for those not following curbside collection rules. The cards are either yellow, green, or pink depending on the violation.
Gobble, Gobble!! Kids learn to make an awesome dessert for Thanksgiving to enjoy with family! The young chefs will be instructed on creating a crust, crème filling, making a pumpkin layer and garnishing their own delicious fall festive dessert!
Township Offices, Parks & Recreation, and the Cranberry Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 23 & 24. Trash will be delayed by one day. The Township Administrative offices will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 22 and re-open at 7:30 a.m. Monday, November 27.
