April 19, 2024

This Sunday we get to celebrate our partnership with Compassion International, one of our mission partners, whose aim is to positively influence the long-term development of children globally who live in poverty. We will hear stories from folks who grew up in the program as children and listen to how it changed their lives. This church sponsors just over 800 children with Compassion and we look forward to being able to celebrate all that God has done through this ministry here at Mt Horeb.

Michael Turner, Executive Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; A Compassion Alumni will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Concerts at Mt. Horeb

We are excited about our final concert of the 2023-24 Concerts at Mt. Horeb season, The Hoppers! The Hoppers are a family ensemble that has been performing together for over 60 years. They have appeared at inauguration ceremonies and won multiple awards for Mixed Vocal Group from the Southern Gospel Music Association. Their unique blend of harmonies and song choices have created a legacy of musical excellence embraced by all. Join us on April 28 at 7 PM for a wonderful night of worship! Tickets are on sale now at mthorebchurch.org/concerts.

Samoa Medical Mission Trip

The team traveling to serve our partner in Samoa, Mission of Hope, is collecting medication and medical supplies for the hundreds of people at their medical outreaches. If you can contribute, please click here for a full list of the medications and supplies we're looking for. All medications need to be new and have an expiration date that is no sooner than December 2024. We can accept any brand. Please drop your donation in the labeled bin at the Missions Center (West Building next to the Guest Services desk) on Sunday mornings or at the Administrative offices while the church office is open. Thank you in advance! Deadline is May 26.

Family Worship Night

Join us Wednesday, May 8 for Family Worship Night, led by our Kid’s Choir and Student Worship Team! This high-energy worship night for all generations will take place in the Auditorium at 6:30 PM. Afterward, we will have free ice cream treats for everyone. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors for this great night of worship.

Immersion Baptisms

May 19 is going to be a special day in the life of our church. On this Sunday, we will have the opportunity for any individual 5 years and up, who has never been baptized to make that important decision in front of the congregation. Baptism is a sacrament in the Global Methodist Church and one of the most powerful ways we identify with God’s family. Our baptismal pool will be set up in the Auditorium during both services. If you have never been baptized and would like to take this next step in your faith, we ask that you email baptism@mthorebchurch.org. and one of our pastors will contact you to discuss the next steps.
