As we continue learning about sanctification - what it means to look and act more like Christ as we mature in our faith - this week, we're learning about self-control. As Christians living in a nation founded on the basis of personal freedom, learning to live with self-control is not always easy, logical or culturally acceptable. As Christians living in a relatively affluent area of South Carolina, just about anything we want and as much as we want are possible. A life pursuing Christ and picking up our crosses to follow Him isn't easy. Parts of ourselves have to die, behaviors need to change, values must be molded to the truth of God's word, but the hard decisions have to start somewhere.
