On Saturday, October 2nd, we kicked off our public Capital Campaign for a new comprehensive facility. We are entering this phase, with over $5 Million raised towards our goal.
Our new facility will have Rowan County's first Autism Clinic, along with multiple therapy rooms including behavioral therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and developmental therapy. One in 39 children are diagnosed with Autism by the time they enter elementary school. Our hope is to provide early intervention so children with autism and other developmental delays can have a less restrictive and more inclusive educational setting as they enter elementary school.
We will be addressing the need for more infant and toddler care in our community, along with space for additional preschoolers. We currently have a waitlist of over 420 children!
We will have additional space to provide our family support program which provides positive parenting support to individuals in their home, helps connect families with resources, and supports families during the reunification process. We also support families and children who have experienced trauma. Our goal is to break the chain of generational trauma one successful family at a time.
