ESF Marks the Successful Conclusion of the Inaugural Class of the Chancellor’s Summer Research Excellence Fund

ESF was one of the initial participants of the Summer Research Excellence Fund, along with Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and Stony Brook University.

‘The Queen of the Night’: SUNY ESF, SU gather to view rare Brazilian cactus bloom

Students gathered in the ESF Greenhouse in Illick Hall on Monday night to witness a rare nighttime bloom of the Brazilian cactus known as “The Queen of the Night.”

The Inclusive Excellence Welcome Reception is a celebration honoring our diverse students and employees!

The campus community is invited to attend the Inclusive Excellence Reception, where we will recognize fellow community members — those of color; those in the LGBTQIA+ community; women; international students; LSAMP, EOP, and first-generation students — who have diverse backgrounds that are historically absent in STEM-centered higher education.

This event is designed to foster a sense of community and belonging.

MOSAIC — which stands for MOSA Intersectional Collective — is an umbrella organization for ESF's cultural, affinity, and intersectional clubs on campus.

Aidan Ackerman, assistant professor of Landscape Architecture, builds digital forests and landscapes that can be explored through virtual reality. His landscape visualization research is transforming the way people perceive and protect the planet. It’s all to make the practices of sustainable forest and landscape management more accessible.
