Music Week has been transformative. When I came here, I lacked courage to really try to pursue music. In my first songwriting class here, I wasn’t finishing sentences. But, in five days here, I wrote two songs. There is something about this place – magical. ~Renee E. 2022

Mayan elders say it is time for ancient indigenous wisdom to be shared with the world to help birth the New Era.
We will follow the sacred Mayan calendar days, and we will walk together on what the Maya call the Sacred Road, The Sac Be.
Our vision is that by honoring the wisdom of the indigenous cultures of this land we live on, coming together in Mayan Sacred time, we can better be in right relationship with Mother Earth, the Divine, ourselves, and each other.
Join us for three days of renewing connections with old friends and making new connections, being immersed in this extraordinary natural environment, and learning about current projects and possibilities for the future. Message from the Board - KC Boyce
My “Mountain story” is, in many ways, the story of my life. I first came to The Mountain in the 1980s for a congregational retreat with the Birmingham (MI) Unitarian Church. Several congregational retreats later, I attended summer High Adventure Camp, where I was introduced to backpacking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting – all pastimes I still enjoy.
A few years later, I was a Mountaincamp CIT and in subsequent summers served on the Mountaincamp leadership team as Adventure Director. During my time with Mountaincamp, I learned skills about managing people, projects, and conflict (among other things!) that I still use today. I met my wife, Michelle, when we were both on Mountaincamp leadership and we married on Meditation Rock in 2002. We now have two kids who attend Mountaincamp.
The Mountain has not only been a consistent part of my life, but it has introduced me to experiences, skills, and people that collectively have immeasurably enriched my life. It’s in recognition and appreciation of that enrichment that I choose to support The Mountain both financially and with my time. My hope is that The Mountain continues to create experiences and relationships for youth and adults that have similar impacts on their lives as they have on mine.
