Mount Pleasant Way Survey

The Town of Mount Pleasant is beginning to implement Mount Pleasant Way, the network of connected multi-use paths intended for non-motorized users that will link key portions of the Town including recreation facilities, parks, schools, neighborhoods, commercial zones, etc. We need your input on the segment along Mathis Ferry Road between 5th Avenue and Wingo Way, which includes the trail and a small park. Please take a short survey to give your feedback.

What We Are Looking Forward To

'Tis The Oyster Season

October 1 saw the opening of the new oyster season. Fresh local seafood is a staple of Mount Pleasant and we cannot wait to dive in. You will see many restaurants offering local oyster dishes on their menus, plenty of oyster roast events happening, and seafood markets offering them by the bushel. See how Mount Pleasant does oysters and find your favorite.

Oyster Shell Recycling

Recycling oyster shells helps to provide suitable habitat for new oysters to grow, but it must be done the right way. The drop-off station at 1355 Sweet Grass Basket Parkway has been updated and rebuilt to accommodate shells.

Follow these recycling do's and dont's to promote healthy oyster seasons for years to come.
