Announcements

Organ Work: In early June, all the organ pipes from the elevated platform at the rear of the Sanctuary will be removed for cleaning, fitting with new tuning slides, and voiced for proper speech and tone production. An access panel will also be added to facilitate future service and tuning. We expect the pipes to be reinstalled and tuned in early fall. During the summer, service music will be provided with the piano. We appreciate your patience during this period.

Church Directory: An updated directory is being developed using Realm. There will be printouts of the directory information available for you to review and make any updates. We also want to get family portraits (including single person families) loaded into Realm. You can send a picture that you would like to use to terry.grib@gmail.com. If you have a Realm account, you can upload a family portrait to your profile. Rick Steinmetz and Judy Hawthorn will be able to take your picture after services.

Julie Vetterlein is now at the Church of God Home, 801 N Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013, room 124. Cards and visits are welcome.

Lee Jackson is in assisted living at the Bridges at Bent Creek, 2100 Bent Creek Blvd, Room 221, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.

Please keep these two beloved parishioners in your prayers.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

The Outreach Committee recently provided contributions to the Churches-Affiliated Child Care Center (CACCC) and Christian Churches United (CCU). Our partnership with these organizations is long-standing for the valuable services provided to our community.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

  • No Sunday School or nursery today.

  • Look for pop up pizza clubs this summer. Youth Group will resume in September.

Christian Ed Humor

Why couldn't the pony sing a lullaby?

She was a little horse.

Book Club - Will meet Sunday, June 2, after the 10am service to discuss True Colors by Kristin Hannah. Contact Linda Farrell for more information.

The MCP Women's

Study Group will resume its gatherings for the summer months with a new format. Instead of all reading the same book and discussing its chapters, we are going to have a BYOSS--Bring Your Own Short Selection from a favorite book of your own. We anticipate a great exchange of various books and authors and many good conversations! We will do this on the second Wednesdays of the month. June 12, July 10, Aug. 14.

On the 4th Wednesdays, we will participate in Group Spiritual Direction, led by one of our own. June 26, July 24, and Aug 28.

All gatherings begin at 6:45 with visiting time. We begin our sessions at 7:00-8:00. All in the undercroft.

We welcome all of you!

We are not meeting for the rest of the month of May.
