The House of Representatives and Senate are on break until the week of February 5, when they are both back in Harrisburg for the Governor’s budget address. While the Senate will hold session that week, the House isn’t back in session until March 18.
The House and Senate Appropriations Committees will hold budget hearings beginning on February 20 and wrap up on March 7.
This year’s Primary Election will take place on April 23. Between January 23 and February 13, candidates circulate and file nomination petitions. The last day for a candidate to withdrawal from the election is February 28. The General Election will take place on November 5.
In 2024, the entire House of Representatives (203 members), 25 members of the Senate (odd-numbered districts), and state row offices are up for election. Several members already indicted their intent not to run or run for a different seat.
