Mayor Serves Up Flapjacks and Great City News at "Mayor's Pancake Breakfast"
MoVal's senior citizens were treated to a pancake breakfast cooked up by none other than their Mayor, Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez. "Mayor's Pancake Breakfast" at the City's senior center was an opportunity for residents to learn about some of the great things happening in their City, including 20,000 new jobs in the past six years, rising household income, increasing property values and more people choosing to live here. And the pancakes turned out pretty well, too! Here's a quick video from the event.

Fire Explorers are young people who, given their interest in fire-fighting, are naturally drawn to public service. So of course they stepped forward to join other residents at the City’s annual Community Day of Service. They helped out with both the Sunnymead Park Community Clean-up and the MoVal Gives Back event, collecting toys for the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Thanks to the many residents, including the Fire Explorers, who gave of their time and talent to make a positive difference in our community!
